from building software to making it run
02 · about
I spent the first stretch of my career writing software — shipping features, fixing bugs, and learning how systems actually behave once real traffic hits them. Then I crossed to the other side of the deploy: cloud-native infrastructure, reliability, and the platforms that let teams ship with confidence.
That arc is the whole point. I’ve written the code and kept it alive in production — so I build for the people doing both. Calm, dependable, boring-in-the-best-way infrastructure, and the practices that keep it that way.
Off-screen, I hold a sailing license. It’s the same job, really: read the conditions, trim for them, and keep the vessel steady when the wind picks up. Kubernetes even named itself after the work — helmsman.
03 · focus
Designing workloads that scale, heal, and recover on their own — and the orchestration that makes that the default, not the exception.
SLOs, observability, and incident response. Turning “is it up?” into a question with a measured answer instead of a guess.
Pipelines and reproducible infra that turn deploys from nerve-wracking events into non-events you stop thinking about.
Paved roads for other teams — the tooling and guardrails that make the right way to ship also the easy way.
